NYIT COM Big Brother Big Sister Clinical Rotations Database

BBBS Overview:

Having just completed year one at NYIT COM, the second year class understands the challenges that incoming students will face during their first year of medical school. To help navigate these challenges, the Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) have teamed up to create a program that pairs each incoming medical student with a selected second year medical student. The program, Big Brother-Big Sister, is intended to provide each first year with a mentor who will be able to answer questions that are not addressed in lectures and labs. More importantly, mentors will provide encouragement and instill confidence in students, helping everyone reach their full potential as a student doctor at NYIT COM.

BBBS Clinical Rotations Database:

BBBS has now taken a step further through the creation of this database to allow the mentorship experience to continue to the third and fourth year. This database will serve as a platform where third and fourth year NYIT COM students can come together to share their experience regarding third and fourth year clerkships. Students will be able to use this database as a source to find answers to questions regarding information about a clerkship from call schedules and study aids to much more. This database is intended to be used by all third and fourth year NYIT COM students and we encourage them all to continue to submit clerkship feedbacks. We hope that this database will stand proof of the unity of NYIT COM students.
