American Medical Student Association – AMSA
Mission: AMSA is committed towards advancing medical education for premedical and medical students, interns, residents and improving the quality of care provided by post-MD and DO trainees; promoting active participation of its members in the economic, moral and social aspects of medicine by their involvement within the school, community and medical centers; and bettering the health care system and its delivery to all people.

Our Chapter: AMSA will organize meetings which focus on medical economics, primary care specialties and HIV awareness. AMSA will host a bake sale in observance of World AIDS day with a possible guest speaker from the UN and a community event at the Glen Cove Boys and Girls club about safety. AMSA will also discuss the treatment and management of various traumatic injuries and possibly participate in a community Breast Cancer Awareness walk.
Dues: $75 for full length of medical school or combined medical school program.
